minka (mi?ka) noun pl. minka(literally farm house(s)) minka were the traditional Japanese style residence for farmers, artisans, and merchants.

The minka are hand built farmhouses held together entirely with timber joinery. To truly appreciate a Japanese minka one must have respect for the use of natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

The head office located at the Sunshine Coast of Queensland along with the Melbourne office are the hub of activity for the Design and Project Management teams. Manufacturing take place at a spacious 1000m² facility convenient to service the East Coast of Australia. History

Fittingly the new millennium marked the inception of Minka Joinery. Situated in the postcard picture town of Coolum Beach, Queensland, Australia, in modest facilities came the stirrings of fresh new ideas combined with long forgotten traditional craftsmanship…..Quickly gaining ovation for skilfully mastering elaborate and complex projects.
